Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad will be our host for the upcoming Tour Colorado Meeting in the Alamosa area on Sept 25th.
This will be an informative meeting combined with a fun networking event. Copies of the NEW Colorado Group Planner Guide will be available.
The focus of the meeting will be on Tour Colorado's participation with the Colorado's Tourism Office's initiative the Compete Pillar - Embracing "Large Team" thinking Through Partnerships. Networking and building on partnerships will take place while enjoying a scenic autumn train ride.
Schedule of Tour Colorado Meeting and Networking Event for Sept 25th – Cost is only $12.00 for lunch per person
9:30 am – Please arrive at the Antonito Depot – ride tickets will be distributed
Antonito Depot Address: 5234 B Hwy 285, Antonito, CO 81120 (30 minute drive from Alamosa, CO)
10:00 am – Train Departs from Antonito, let the networking and partnership building begin
1:00 pm – Train arrives at Osier for Tour CO Meeting with lunch. Presentation: Compete Pillar - Embracing "Large Team" thinking through Partnerships
1:45 pm – Board the train for second leg
4:05 pm - Arrive at Chama, NM with 10 minutes to board the motorcoach for shuttle back to cars. The motorcoach back will take 1 hour. It follows a scenic byway and is a beautiful ride.
5:3 5pm – Arrive back in Antonito, CO

Summary of the train ride
The train ride will be coach seating. The trains are coal fired steam locomotives. We will travel 64 train miles through 2 tunnels and over 2 100’high trestles. We will see the lowest point of the railroad at Toltec Gorge and visit the highest point at Cumbres Pass. Protective eyewear is highly suggested as well as a light jacket. Concessions are available for purchase on the train for snacks, soft drinks and alcoholic beverages.
